Man\u00e8ge \u00e9questre au temps o\u00f9 la ville abritait encore la cavalerie de la garnison, il \u00e9tait utilis\u00e9 pour \u00e9duquer et entra\u00eener pr\u00e8s de 800 chevaux. En 1914, il est rempli de vivres en pr\u00e9vision du si\u00e8ge. Apr\u00e8s la Seconde Guerre mondiale, il est utilis\u00e9 comme salle de bal, comme salle de remise de prix, salle de sport, puis comme atelier de chemiserie.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; line-height: normal;\">Construit sur un plan rectangulaire, le Man\u00e8ge est constitu\u00e9 de briques et de pierres bleues. <br>L&rsquo;entr\u00e9e que nous lui connaissons aujourd&rsquo;hui a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par l&rsquo;architecte Philippe Lep\u00e8re. Elle pr\u00e9sente un portique compos\u00e9 de colonnes et dessinant un&nbsp;amphith\u00e9\u00e2tre ext\u00e9rieur avec gradins.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; line-height: normal;\">C&rsquo;est au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1980 que l&rsquo;ancien b\u00e2timent est r\u00e9nov\u00e9. Une extension sur son parvis, r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par Philippe Lep\u00e8re, rappelle la fonction nouvelle de l&rsquo;\u00e9difice. Lieu de spectacle et de culture,&nbsp;cette extension pr\u00e9sente les caract\u00e9ristiques des th\u00e9\u00e2tres antiques.&nbsp; <br>Le th\u00e9\u00e2tre est inaugur\u00e9 le 8 janvier 1983 par le docteur Pierre Forest, alors maire de Maubeuge. <br>Le th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Man\u00e8ge, haut lieu de culture, offre aujourd&rsquo;hui une <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lemanege.com\/\">programmation \u00e9clectique<\/a>.
