Si les machines ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9truites pendant la Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale, la reconstitution de l&rsquo;entreprise est rapide. Ainsi, d\u00e8s 1920, la production reprend. <br>Les bureaux de l&rsquo;entreprise sont construits vers 1925 par les architectes Jean et Henri Lafitte. <br>L&rsquo;entreprise florissante ferme d\u00e9finitivement dans les ann\u00e9es 1960. Si une partie des ateliers est d\u00e9truite, les b\u00e2timents restants sont transform\u00e9s en espaces de loisirs accueillant spectacles, foires et expositions. Les bureaux sont conserv\u00e9s.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; line-height: normal;\">En 1925, l&#8217;emplacement choisi pour accueillir les bureaux Sculfort a conditionn\u00e9 la forme de ces derniers. En effet, situ\u00e9s entre une voie ferr\u00e9e et d&rsquo;autres b\u00e2timents, l&rsquo;\u00e9difice est \u00e9rig\u00e9 sur un plan carr\u00e9 \u00e0 deux niveaux : en briques, planchers en b\u00e9ton et ch\u00e2ssis des baies en b\u00e9ton arm\u00e9.<br>Un auvent souligne la porte d&rsquo;entr\u00e9e et une ferronnerie repr\u00e9sentant Saint Eloi &#8211; patron des m\u00e9tallurgistes &#8211; d\u00e9core son tympan.<br>A l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur, un escalier central tournant \u00e0 vol\u00e9es droites est entour\u00e9 des diff\u00e9rents bureaux. Les cloisons sont recouvertes de c\u00e9ramique verte et bleue sur la partie basse. La partie sup\u00e9rieure est vitr\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; line-height: normal;\">Aujourd&rsquo;hui les bureaux Sculfort h\u00e9bergent la Maison des Associations et accueillent de nombreuses associations culturelles maubeugeoises.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; line-height: normal;\"><b>Henri SCULFORT (1844 \u2013 1914) <\/b><br>N\u00e9 \u00e0 Maubeuge, Henri Sculfort appartient \u00e0 une grande famille d\u2019industriels du Nord. Apr\u00e8s des \u00e9tudes d\u2019histoire et d\u2019archivistique, il embrasse une carri\u00e8re de notable. Maire-adjoint de Maubeuge en 1879, pr\u00e9sident de la chambre de commerce d\u2019Avesnes, conseiller g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, pr\u00e9sident du Conseil g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du Nord, il re\u00e7oit plusieurs titres dont celui d\u2019officier de la L\u00e9gion d\u2019honneur.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jean et Henri LAFITTE<\/strong> sont deux architectes fran\u00e7ais qui ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la conception de diff\u00e9rents b\u00e2timents de la ville de Maubeuge. Jean est n\u00e9 en 1853 et d\u00e9c\u00e8de en 1928. Son fils, Henri est n\u00e9 en en 1888 et d\u00e9c\u00e8de en 1966.
